Fees and Policies

Financial and timing aspects are important to consider before you start your treatment. The fees may vary with different specialists depending on many factors, including the total number of years dedicated to the professional training, number of supervision hours annually received by the professional, full-time involvement into the clinical practice and the overall number of years in the profession. All things considered, it will determine both the cost and quality of your treatment. It may be important to investigate several options, ask for different opinions or get referrals before you make your final decision. If you are looking for a short-term counselling, you may consider up to 20 individual or couples sessions; if a long-term treatment is required, you may anticipate, in view of holidays, approximately 10 months of treatment per year.

I am offering sliding-scale (reduced) fees for individuals who are not able to afford full price therapy due to low income or a critical personal situation. Please contact me to enquire about details.

Payment and cancellation policy

  • First session:
    Payment for the first session should be completed 24 hours in advance. Banking details are provided by email on request.
  • Following sessions:
    If after the first session you have agreed to proceed with treatment, then you will be charged on a monthly basis at the end of each month depending on the number of sessions completed.
  • Cancellation policy:
    If you need to change your appointment, you will need to notify me no later than 24 hours in advance. If notification has not been completed, you will be charged for the missed session. This policy may be mitigated in cases of a force majeure situation out of your control.
  • Change of rates:
    The fees are fixed for 12 months starting from the first session. The fees may be revised if your personal financial circumstances change (e.g. job loss, income decrease, health issues) or if there are no further grounds for the sliding scale to be applied.
